Role Overview

Driving breakthrough engineering as part of a global company using world class innovation to design next generation proportional valves and coils. Your contribution to our team will deliver huge value to customers in demanding markets including process control and hydrogen refueling stations.

Work Location: Onsite - Bad Oeynhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Development of solenoid coils and stepper motor drives to drive valves and regulators to meet customer requirements

·       Working with a cross functional team to release high quality products into production

·       Modification and enhancement of existing coil and stepper motor drive designs to meet customer requirements, in both hazardous and ordinary locations

·       Use engineering tools to assemble, test and validate coils and stepper motor drives

·       Manage external partners such as Notified Bodies and certification agencies

·       Deriving and implementing the requirements for electronic controls

·       Supporting the development of internal automated equipment (ex. automated test bench)

·       Liaising with other PFOEM’s electronic and S/W sites when their support is required – and vice versa

 

Critical Competencies for Success

·       Educated to degree level and experienced Electrical / Electronics Design Engineer

·       Experience with electromagnetic compatibility, coils and stepper motors

·       Experience with international requirements for explosion protection (such as Atex, IECEx, NEC) desirable but not essential

·       Good English and German skills
